We collect only what we need to run SwapCircle and keep you safe. This page explains what we collect, why, and how you can control it.
What we collect
Account info: Name, phone, email.
Listings: Photos, descriptions, price, location.
Payments: Payment receipts & transaction refs for listings. (We don’t store full card details.)
Usage data: Device info, IP, pages visited for analytics.
Messages & reviews: Messages between buyers/sellers and public reviews.
How we use data
To run your account and publish listings.
To verify payments and process fees.
For fraud prevention and moderation.
To improve the service (analytics) and show relevant ads/offers.
To send transactional messages (payment receipts, listing alerts).
Sharing & third parties
We may share limited data with payment partners (Pesapal) to process payments.
We may share anonymized data with advertisers.
We do not sell your personal data.
Your rights
Access, correct, or delete your account data.
Opt out of marketing messages anytime.

Security
We use SSL, backups, and limited access. But no system is infallible – be careful sharing sensitive info.
Retention
We keep listings and basic account info until you delete your account or as needed for legal/operational reasons.
